Eufy Robovac is a cleaning robot that you can buy for a far cheaper price as compared to other Roomba brands.

The boundary strip makes it easier for users to configure the device to only clean specific areas of their room. Overall, choosing Eufy Robovac can save you up to 800 dollars on your purchase.

There is no debate that having this system as a permanent part of your smart home will serve you with incredible convenience and efficiency.

But you will still need to keep track of the system’s maintenance and operating conditions.

If the floor is too rough, or the dustbin is always filled with gunk, then you will run into some complications.

There is no robot on the market that will work well even if you ignore its maintenance. So, be sure to keep that in mind and educate yourself on its proper maintenance.

Common Eufy Robovac Problems Troubleshooting

Similarly, there are still some common issues that you might face while using Eufy Robovac. Luckily, most of the time, you can fix these issues by following simple troubleshooting methods.

Here is a list of some common Eufy Robovac problems and how you can troubleshoot them.

  1. Abnormal Travel Path

A lot of users have complained that their Eufy Robovac will not clean properly. It will stop suddenly and take turns as if something is blocking its path.

Most often than not, this issue is related to the sensor present on the bottom of the Robovac that helps it to navigate around the room.

To fix this issue, the first thing you should do is give your Robovac a quick restart to check if that fixes your problem. Just turn the switch off, wait a few seconds and turn it back on.

If that does not fix the issue, then it is likely that your sensors are dirty. It is very common for dirt to get gathered on the sensors, which can cause your Robovac to follow an abnormal travel path.

So, just get yourself a dry cloth and start cleaning the sensors on the bumper and a shell at the bottom of the Robovac device.

Make sure not to put too much pressure, or you’ll end up damaging the sensors even further.

The last thing you have to check is your bumper and wheels, sometimes debris or hair gets stuck on the wheels, which hinders the overall movement of the Robovac.

So, make sure to clean them, and that should sort out your issue.

  1. Weak Suction

weak suction

One of the biggest reasons why people prefer to buy Robovac over other Roomba devices is the suction strength.

However, recently some of the users have mentioned issues with the Robovac’s suction becoming weak over time.

The majority of the time, this issue is caused by faulty filters inside the Robovac, which reduces the overall suction strength. First of all, you should try to air dry the filters to remove any moisture.

Sometimes the filters become wet due to moisture on the floor. The moisture then hinders the overall flow of air in the Robovac device.

So, just take out the filters and dry them. If the issue remains, then replacing the filters altogether would probably sort out this issue.

A few additional things that you need to look out for are whether or not there is something big stuck inside the suction inlet, which might be blocking the overall airflow.

Sometimes having a full dust collector can also cause this issue. So make sure to empty the dust collector on an almost daily basis.

  1. Noise Issues

Some customers have reported strange noises coming from the Robovac device whenever it is cleaning the house.

It can be quite annoying if you’ve scheduled the device to clean while you’re asleep. Here are some fixes you can follow to troubleshoot this problem.

Start by cleaning the brushes, make sure there is nothing stuck on the rolling brushes which might be hitting your Robovac frame resulting in the strange noise.

Remove all hair and debris from the bottom of the Robovac, and then try using it again.

If the issues still exist, then you should start removing the cleaning accessories from the bottom of the Robovac.

This includes the brush guard and the rolling brush. After that, run the device again to check if your issue is resolved.

If the mentioned fixes don’t work for you, then it is likely that there is something else wrong with your

Robovac device, in which case you should contact Eufy support by sending them an email. Explain all the relevant details regarding your issue and just wait for their response.

Once the support team has identified the actual problem, then they will send you a list of troubleshooting methods that you can follow to fix your Robovac.

  1. Charging Issues

question

The charging issues with the unit are not that rare either and can mostly be linked to the positioning of the dock as well as the output from the source.

You can’t really expect the device to perform when there are hardware issues and the contact points are damaged.

However, there are still a few things that you can do about streamlining the power flow from the dock to the robot itself.

All you need to do here is to remove the gunk from the connection points and recheck the engagement.

Sometimes, elevating the dock a bit or manually putting the robot on the charging base will do the trick.

clean debris

Once the contact points are engaged, you will not have to do much, and a bit of adjustment will be all that you need.

So, be sure to leave the robot out to charge after cleaning the contact points and fixing the alignment of the robot relative to the charging base.

That will mostly be it, and you will be able to get through the cleaning cycle one more time.

  1. Routines Not Working

Another pretty common problem that is persistent in some of the newer models relates to the routines not working.

Now, there might be many factors at play here, and you will have to figure out the exact cause of the problem.

battery life

First, you need to make sure that the battery is not to blame here and that the charging status of the unit is optimal.

Next, you need to look at the routine configurations and make sure that you have the desired rooms selected for the cleaning cycle.

From there, you can proceed with the inspection and try removing obstructions near the docs to make it easier for the robot to get engaged.

Ideally, the problem will be fixed right here, and you will not have to deal with more errors down the road.

So, be sure to keep all that in mind as you try to fix the situation with the Eufy Robovac system not responding to any routines.

ERROR

However, if that is not the case and you still seem to be stuck in the same errors, then you need to reset the robot.

There are no other methods left, and you will have to go through the setup routine from scratch. That might sound annoying, but it is the only option left at your disposal.

So, be sure to proceed with the reset and then set up the unit one more time. Hopefully, all the programming-related errors will be addressed right here.

  1. Side Brush Issues

Lastly, there have been a few problems that have been mentioned regarding the side brushes not spinning properly.

side brush

You cannot expect the robot to perform well when half the brushes don’t spin. So, if you’re in the same boat, try to limit the errors by freeing the brushes of hair and debris.

First, you can rely on canned air to get rid of the gunk below the brushes. From there, you can pull on any hair lodged behind the brushes.

This will be more than enough to free up the motor, and you will immediately notice a better response from the brushes.

At this point, you will also have to check the status of the motor if the brushes are not responding to any input.

There is a chance that the motor is damaged after excessive strain from the owners. So, you will have to figure out that situation and limit the motor errors by installing a replacement.

If the unit is under warranty, then you should avoid messing with the internal machinery and just claim the warranty.

warranty claim

There is no point in trying to fix the system when you can claim the warranty. Otherwise, you might void the warranty and lose your chance of getting a free replacement.

So, be sure to reach out to the dealer and explain this issue with the Robovac system not working properly due to side brush issues. He will verify your claim and then point you in the right direction.

Some of the dealers won’t even ask for a valid proof of purchase and will verify everything on their end.

For this reason, there is nothing stopping you from trying to secure a replacement for the damaged Robovac system.

    • The drive mechanism is probably stripped. Eufy engineered a defective product by using a softer plastic in the drive mechanism the the brush so it breaks the machine instead of the replaceable brush

  1. Our eufy vacuums for a short time then just stops even after it has been fully charged and connected to the wireless. And it won’t reconnect with the landing pad.
