  1. Run a Simple Maintenance on Your Roomba

One of the first things that you can do is to run maintenance on your Roomba device. In order to do this, you will have to follow the following instructions:

  • First of all, make sure that your Roomba device is off.
  • Proceed by placing a bit of debris directly in front of the Roomba. The debris can be small beads, cereal, or even a small piece of paper.
  • Now, hold down the Clean button for around 3 seconds.
  • Similarly, press the Clean button when it is over the debris as well.

After you are done, you will have to check the results. For instance, if your Roomba managed to pick the debris, then it could be that its performance is simply degraded. However, if it did not pick anything, then you will have to proceed and perform rubber care and retest.

  1. Cleaning the Device

Over time, devices like your Roomba will get really dirty. When this happens, you will notice it not working like it is supposed to. In cases like these, you will have to thoroughly clean the device. Once all the dirt and debris are cleared out of the device, you should no longer be facing this issue.

If you have never cleaned your device, you will have to clean the bins as well as the filters of your Roomba. You can do this by simply removing the bin and filter from the device by pressing the dedicated button. Afterward, just throw all the dirt by simply shaking it. If you want to thoroughly clean it, you may also use a piece of cloth for cleaning the device. Always keep in mind that you will have to clean the device regularly for optimal performance.

  1. Checking the Side Brush

If only the side brushes are not working, then you will have to check them. Try loosening it with the use of a screwdriver or a coin.
