  1. Backup Battery Mode

One of the first reasons why you could be hearing the alarm system gives you a beeping sound might be due to the fact that it has gone to backup battery mode. Whenever a power outage happens, the AC supply is no longer supplied to the device.

As a result, what happens is that the alarm system not only gives a beeping sound but may also give you a message telling you about no power. It is also used as an indicator to tell you that the alarm system is now running on backup battery mode.

  1. Check Fuses

If you have already checked the first step and believe that it is not the case, then the next thing we recommend you check is the fuses inside your house. There is a chance that there may be an issue with the fuses inside your house.

Check for any tripped fuse as it may be the reason why the alarm system is not getting the power it needs to run properly.

  1. Get it Checked

One thing we highly suggest is to inspect the alarm system. Make sure when you hear the beeping sound, the power indicator should also be turned on. If it isn’t, then there may as well be a more technical issue with your thermostat.

If that is so, then you will have to contact a professional for further help on the matter. You may refer to customer support or NCA for assistance.

  1. Hello.
I have inherited a Honeywell alarm system. I think a lot of people are having this beeping issue. On my system, the alarm starts a high-rate beeping every time the power comes back on after an outage (not when the power goes off).
I put in the code to stop it, but it goes off about 2-5 minutes later. I turn it off again, and it goes off again 2-5 minutes later. Usually after the third time, it stops for good.
My question is, is there a code, button, or sequence that I can enter to keep it from repeatedly beeping? Like, once I turn it off, it won’t beep again.
