But the question still remains whether you should buy this product from the market, or look for another option. For a smart vent installation, that’s actually not so bad. In fact, we could even say that it’s pretty budget-friendly. Let’s not forget how hard it can sometimes be to install all the wiring, and what kind of mess it makes. In this case, you will be going completely wireless!

Another great feature of the Ecovent is how it optimizes the airflow in all of your rooms, meeting all your requirements. According to Ecovent’s official statement, the smart vent actually applies aeronautical engineering values to optimize airflow, as well as preserve HVAC system integrity.
For many of you, this might not make much sense. But all you need to understand is that it gets the job done! The airflow will always be optimized, regardless of the temperature or mode selected.

The Ecovent smart vent is undoubtedly one of the finest smart vents that you can purchase in the market. Surely, there are many other options that you could opt for, but they don’t really do anything to stand out compared to Ecovent.

We have had the Ecovent system for 4 years and when it works its great! The problem is that every time there is a hicup in the wifi , the system goes down. If you have problems there is NO customer support! We were part of a test group of system owners who can talk to eachother but never a company rep! We have had to replace 3 vents…. And the things go through batteries like crazy. We are now exploring other options.
From the video you require “one [smart sensor] per room and then you replace every register in the house”.
Using current (Nov 2020) prices (I checked multiple online retailers) the price per room would be $401. I’m not sure how “roughly $200 per room” encompasses $401, but apparently “roughly” is more lenient than I thought. Also, that $401 is only for rooms that have only 1 (floor) vent. A 2nd vent in a room adds another 50% to the room’s cost.
