With that being said, you get to enjoy a better experience with the mic and speaker on your doorbell and that helps you to talk to the person at the door pretty easily through your smartphone or any other device that you might have. 1) Enable Mic Permission
The first thing that you will need to do is to check on the mic of your device that you are trying to use with the Ring Doorbell. You will have to make sure that the mic is enabled and there are no such problems on the settings that might have the Mic disabled and that can cause you to face this problem.
Also, most of the advanced OS that you have these days have extensive application permission settings as well that allow you to control what resources each of your application can access. So, you will also have to ensure that you are checking on all that and allow mic usage privileges to the Ring application that you are using in order to ensure that the Ring Doorbell can hear you and that will do the trick for you.
2) Check Mic
If that doesn’t work out for you, there might be some problem with your mic that you will have to fix in order to get rid of the problem. It is pretty simple and all you will need to do is, make sure that the mic is in working order and it doesn’t have any malfunctions on it.
You can also try cleaning the mic with some damp cloth or tissue and then try it again. Hopefully, it will make it work for you. However, if that doesn’t work out as you thought it should, you need to check the mic on some other application as well in order to ensure that there are no such problems on the mic.
If there are, you will need to fix the mic first. If the mic is working fine on some other application, you can proceed with the troubleshooting fairly.
3) Re-install the application
Ring Doorbell has pretty easy to use and install application with great stability and there are hardly any problems that you will have to face on the application. However, if the application is not working out for you due to some reasons, you will have to ensure that you are uninstalling the application from any device that you might be using.
After that, you will need to restart the device once and install the latest version of the application on your device. This is certainly going to help you with any such problems that you might be facing.
