With that said, we have had users complain about their Costco Feit electric string lights not working. So, if you have found yourself in a similar situation and have no idea what to do next, then this article is for you! Using the article, we will be listing some common ways how you can fix this. So, let’s get right into it!

Fixing Costco Feit Electric String Lights Not Working

  1. Checking the Power Source

If the lights aren’t working at all, then the first thing that you will need to check is if there is any sort of issues with the power source itself. As the lights won’t work if they don’t receive any power, you have to make sure that these lights are getting power.

Some common reasons why they may suddenly end up not working could have something to do with a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker. In either case, you should be able to get a replacement fuse or simply flip the circuit breaker with ease.

  1. Broken or Loose Wire

Apart from the power source, another important thing that you will have to check is the wires. There’s a possibility that you might be dealing with a broken or loose wire. Though you will have to inspect the wiring before you reach any conclusion.

It is important that we mention how it isn’t really recommended to check the wires on your own unless you know what you are doing. You can call in a technician and let him have a look at the wires.

  1. Check the Bulb

Over time, the bulbs or the fixture itself can fry out as well. Unfortunately, these can’t really be repaired as a fried bulb may be beyond repair. However, you should still be able to get a replacement bulb as it shouldn’t cost you that much.

Though before you make the swap, you should first check these bulbs. You can try using them somewhere else and see if they do manage to turn on or not. If they do, then you shouldn’t need to replace them.

  1. Problems with the Dimmer

If you are using a dimmer alongside these bulbs, then there’s a good chance that it might be the one that is causing these issues to surface. If that is the case, then you will have to do something about the dimmer itself.

Try using the lights without any dimmer to see if they work. If they do, then you will have to either get your dimmer checked or replaced with a new working model. It is also possible that your dimmer might not be fully compatible with the lights.

  1. Asking For Professional Help

In case you are having a hard time understanding or troubleshooting the problem and haven’t managed to get the lights working again, then you may be better off calling a professional on the field.

As these guys have a much better idea, you should be able to get your issue checked and resolved in no time. Besides this, you can also try contacting your customer support team and asking them about the issue that you are facing. Doing either one of these should help increase your chances of getting the lights back up and running again.

The Bottom Line:

Costco Feit electric string lights not working? While the reason why lights may suddenly stop working could vary, these types of issues usually occur when there is something wrong with the power source or any of the components of the whole fixture.

Still, whenever you do come across such issues, be sure to start with the power source followed by the bulb itself. You should also check any other device that you’re using with the lights, i.e., a dimmer.

  1. I hung 2 strings, both 20ft and no dimmer. There is power going through the cords, I tested both ends separately, but the lights won’t come on. I tested with other bulbs, different cords and again, power is going through, but no lights.
