  1. EcoVent System is Offline

When the EcoVent system is online and working properly then it shows a blue light on top of the hub. If the light on top of the hub is green then it indicates that your hub is having trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi which is why the system is not working.

To fix this issue you need to simply make sure that your router is working properly and your hub has access to the internet. You can try replugging the ethernet and power cord back into the hub. After that just power cycle the device once and that will fix the issue for you. You can also try restarting your Wi-Fi router as well because sometimes it is the router that is malfunctioning.

If the problem persists then you should boot the device in backup mode. To do this you just have to press the reset button three times and wait around 30 seconds in between. This can take up to 60 minutes to reboot the device for you but it will most probably fix the problem.

  1. Sensor Not Connecting to the Hub

Another very common issue with the EcoVent device is that the sensor keeps losing connection with the hub. It will show you a message in-app that the sensor is unable to connect to the hub. You will also notice the temperature of the room being shown as N/A.

To fix this error the first thing you should try is power cycling the sensor. To do this just unplug and re-plug the device back into the power outlet and you will see a blue light flashing. Most of the time just doing this sorts out the issue for you. But on the off-chance, if the sensor is still not working then you should soft reset the hub.

You can reset the hub by simply pressing the reset button that is located on the back of the hub right next to the power cord. After the hub has completed resetting you should try waiting an additional 30 minutes and you will notice the sensor will start showing you the temperature in the app.

  1. Vent Not Connecting with the Hub

If you are having trouble connecting the vents with the hub then you can follow the given methods to sort out this problem.

The first fix that you should try is power cycling the vents by taking out the batteries and putting them back in. If that does not work then your next step is to reset the vent and reconnect it with the hub. To do this, You would have to first remove the vent from the app.

You can do so by entering the room settings in the app and deleting the vent from there. After that, you can reset your EcoVent by tapping the reset button. The vent will go through a calibration process and when it is done you will see an LED start flashing.

When you’re done resetting the vent then you have to just go into the app settings and add the vent back in. This will most probably sort out your problem and you should have no further trouble in getting the Vent to connect with the hub.
