Use the bather average, not the tub rating. A six-person spa used by two people most nights should be entered as two average bathers per day, then adjusted with soak minutes for longer sessions.
Use TDS as a calendar override when it climbs fast. The base rule is useful, but fast dissolved-solids rise, foaming, or hard-to-balance water usually means the change interval should be shortened.
