Measurement check: Use chest width at the widest rib or shoulder point, not collar width. For the height formula, use standing shoulder height and then add head clearance before subtracting step-over.

Installing a smart pet door in your door or wall can give you some control and your dog freedom. But unlike decor, it’s more about measuring carefuly than looks. That’s because when you cut in, that door or wall become smaller. You want to get the size right.
