Measure the user, not the cabinet. The viewing angle formula depends on real eye height and horizontal viewing distance. A half-inch counter difference matters less than a wrong stance distance.
Check both edges. A screen center can look right while the bottom edge is too close to splashes or the top edge runs into the underside of an upper cabinet.
